Program:
Day 1 – Arrival in San José (1 night)
Costa Rica’s capital, San José, is in the Central Valley. It has world-class museums, parks, hotels, theaters, and historic buildings. It’s an extensive plain, guarded by majestic volcanoes and green hills, honoring the natural richness that exists throughout the national territory. Upon arrival in
San José, the vibrant capital, enjoy a short walk through the historic center: the elegant
National Theater, colorful streets, and lively markets. It’s the gateway to your adventure.

Days 2 & 3 – Cahuita, Caribbean Coast (2 nights)
Cahuita National Park is a terrestrial and marine national park in the Caribbean La Amistad Conservation Area of Costa Rica located on the southern Caribbean coast in Limón Province, connected to the town of Cahuita.
Switch to the laid-back rhythm of the Caribbean in Cahuita.
Day 2: Transfer to the Caribbean Coast. Free afternoon on Playa Negra with reggae vibes.
Day 3: Explore Cahuita National Park: hiking, monkeys, sloths, and snorkeling in coral reefs. Evening: enjoy Afro-Caribbean cuisine (coconut rice, jerk chicken, fresh seafood).

Days 4 & 5 – Tortuguero National Park (2 nights)
Tortuguero National Park is a biodiverse protected area on Costa Rica’s northern Caribbean coast, known for its extensive network of rivers and canals, lush rainforest, and critical nesting sites for green sea turtle. Accessible only by boat, Tortuguero is called the “Amazon of Costa Rica” — a maze of canals, lush jungle, and incredible wildlife.
- Day 4: Morning transfer by bus + boat, arrival at your jungle lodge. Afternoon visit to Tortuguero village and black sand beach.
- Day 5: Morning boat safari through the canals: monkeys, sloths, toucans, caimans, and more. Afternoon optional visit to turtle conservation (July–Oct = nesting season).

Days 6 & 7 – Arenal Volcano / La Fortuna (2 nights)
Arenal Volcano is a dormant but still technically active stratovolcano in northwest Costa Rica, known for its iconic, near-perfect conical shape and a history of significant eruptions, the last of which began in 1968 and concluded in 2010. Rising to over 5,358 feet (1,633 meters), it is considered the youngest volcano in Costa Rica and a prominent landmark within a biodiversity-rich national park near the town of La Fortuna.
The iconic Arenal Volcano rises dramatically over La Fortuna. The region is known for adventure and relaxation.
Day 6: Transfer back by boat + bus to La Fortuna. Evening soak in natural hot springs (Baldi or Tabacón).
Day 7: Hike around Arenal Volcano National Park and La Fortuna waterfall. Afternoon adventure: zipline, canyoning, or hanging bridges.

Days 8 & 9 – Tamarindo, Pacific Coast (2 nights)
This Guanacaste beach town lies at the heart of Costa Rica’s Gold Coast Beaches. Famous for its spectacular surf, Tamarindo has grown into a miniature metropolis – a lively and culturally diverse community that enjoys year-round warm weather and thrives on adventure and outdoor activities
End your journey with sunsets and surf in Tamarindo, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Pacific.
Day 8: Transfer from Cahuita to Tamarindo (long drive, but worth it). Relax at the beach.
Day 9: Free day — surf lessons, catamaran sunset cruise, or simply enjoy the ocean and vibrant nightlife.

Days 10 & 11– Monteverde Cloud Forest (2 nights)
The Monteverde Cloud Forest in Costa Rica is a high-elevation, misty forest reserve on the Continental Divide known for its stunning biodiversity, including a high concentration of orchids, diverse mammals, and iconic birds like the Resplendent Quetzal. The dense, green environment is characterized by perpetual clouds, providing a cool, unique ecosystem filled with tall, epiphyte-laden trees, winding streams, and well-maintained trails for visitors to explore its rich flora and fauna.
A journey into the clouds: Monteverde is a mystical world of mist, orchids, and exotic birds like the quetzal.
Day 10: Scenic drive to Monteverde. Evening night walk to spot frogs, insects, and nocturnal mammals.
Day 11: Walk the Cloud Forest Reserve, suspension bridges, and butterfly/hummingbird gardens. Optional canopy zipline (one of the longest in the world).

Day 12 – Return to San José & Departure (1 night if needed)
Private transfer or domestic flight back to San José. Depending on your flight, enjoy one last night or connect directly to the airport.

- Tipping is a long-established tradition in the United States. It is customary to tip your guide (approximately USD 3 per person per day) and your driver (approximately USD 2 per person per day).
- For technical reasons, should any adjustments need to be made to the program schedule or visits, the planned content will still be respected. Free time periods are included to allow you to enjoy your personal interests; no transportation will be provided during these moments.
